Fountain pens are made of celluloid pipes in a workshop on the business and basement premises in
Kálmán utca.

1976
The new logo of the company, which is still used today, is released, and image building begins.

1978
The automatization of production begins, the first HUTT and automatic writing instrument- assembling machines are purchased. A new image and the ICO brand name are introduced on the market. In addition to sales in Hungary, the significance of exports, mainly to the COMECON markets, increases.

1985
Co-operation with the Austrian company Heinrich Sachs becomes increasingly close, and the manufacture of SAX staplers and punchers is fully transferred to ICO.

1989
A political and economic change begins to unfold in Hungary. The transformation of the co-operative into Joint-Stock-Company begins. ICO establishes a joint venture with the Austrian ÖKI for the manufacture of envelopes and the recycling of paper; EURO Kft. (LLC) is established with premises at Pomáz.
